What it calculates

Children’s clothing sizes are usually based on height in centimeters. Optional foot and head measurements add a quick hat and EU shoe estimate.

How to use it

  1. Enter the child’s height.
  2. Add foot and head measurements if useful.
  3. Check the current size and whether the next size may be more comfortable.

Sizing method

The calculator mainly uses the child’s height in centimeters because most children’s clothing sizes are height-based. Foot length and head circumference can be added to estimate shoe and hat sizes.

Age is only a supporting reference: children of the same age can differ a lot in height, weight, and proportions. Always compare the result with the specific brand chart.

For a more accurate result, measure height standing against a wall without shoes, and measure the foot from heel to the longest toe. A soft measuring tape helps avoid pulling too tightly around the head.

Choosing room to grow

If the child is between sizes, the next clothing size is often more comfortable for everyday wear, outerwear, pajamas, and items that may shrink after washing. Shoe room should be moderate so walking stays stable.

This is not medical advice and does not assess development. If height, weight, foot length, or head circumference worries you, discuss it with a pediatrician.

Also consider season and layering: winter overalls, thermal layers, and clothes over a diaper may need more room than a light T-shirt or bodysuit.
