What the tool does
The online video compressor helps reduce video size for Telegram, WhatsApp, email, websites, presentations, and social media. It opens MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM, OGV, and other browser-supported formats, lowers resolution and bitrate, then saves the result as MP4 or WebM.
How to use it
- Add video files or drag them into the upload area.
- Choose a compression profile, output format, and maximum frame size.
- Adjust quality manually if needed.
- Start compression: each finished file downloads separately.
How compression reduces file size
The compressor reduces video weight by changing frame size and bitrate. You can keep the original resolution or limit the video to 1080p, 720p, or 480p. A smaller frame and stronger compression profile make the file easier to send through Telegram, WhatsApp, email, or a website.
Compression is always a trade-off. Screen recordings, text, and fast motion should not be pushed too low, or blur and block artifacts can appear. For a regular social video, 720p with a balanced profile is often enough; for a preview or quick messenger share, 480p may work better.
Local batch processing and limits
Files are processed locally in the browser through canvas and MediaRecorder and are not uploaded to the All Tools server. Multiple videos are compressed one by one so the browser does not keep the whole batch of results in memory at once.
Long videos, 4K footage, and already compressed sources can be slow, and the final size may not shrink dramatically. If the browser says a format is unsupported, try MP4/WebM or use another browser. A practical workflow is to keep the original and make one short test export before compressing the whole video.
